BattleLogs Episode 1e.4- Lifesigns Release Tournament Round 2

Commence battle

First the game itself: This was round 2 of the Lifesigns release tournament where we alternate between a Vidiian and non-Vidiian deck. This is my non-Vid, and I went… crazy with my ideas to out-manuver them. I don’t know how well it worked.

It was lots of fun. @commdecker was a great opponent and it was back and forth.

The Vidiians as a Whole
Between this 4-round tournament and several other games, I’ve played with and against them a lot over the last few weeks. My overall verdict on them is that they mix things up nicely and are a great shot in the arm. I do not think they are too strong, and I think there are ways around them, however they do make you think differently.

If you go Search for Spares, you really want to go second. Otherwise you’re a target instead of a predator.

Scheduling/editorial notes
I have been really enjoying doing these, and glad others are enjoying them.

My original plan was to do all 4 rounds of this tournament, one a week.
However, the last two I’ve done, being transcrips of live games have been… more time consuming then originally. (Main reason is when I’m doing ones aimed directly at this I add a lot more cues in the logs while playing. I tap destinations when playing so I have log cues of where, etc. Live games I had to go to my recording to check where things were played which added time.

Also, I played Tribbles and wooooof is that time draining for me.

So, between that and that my next two weeks are busier for work and personal, and following that it’s time to start prepping for Worlds since I’m helping with some events.

All of this is a long way of saying, I’ll probably not be doing much of this over the next month or two, but that does not mean they are going away. I also will probably do a 2e report or two with the new Vidiians when they drop there, since those games are… significantly less logistical challenges.
